Anyone up for starting a Stones live "boot club" ?

It is similar to a book club but rather in our case it will be a boot club.

We all take turns choosing a particular recording (must provide the recording to the group) and everyone listens to the show and comes back to give their thoughts and reviews of the show. I have seen this done on other boards for other artists and it is great fun to discover new shows and appreciate the music within a bigger group.

We would meet probably every other week or so to discuss a new show.

Anyone up for doing this?

Good idea. I would be interested in participating in the New Year.

I'm in. I've a WeTransfer Pro account. Links don't expire. I can send files bigger than the 2GB cap with free accounts. I may not be able to participate in the meetings but I can help with posting links that don't expire...

Great to see some responses here. I think I will put up a post on the Tell Me forum just to get more eyes on this to make sure we get a good group of people who really wanna do this. Seems like this side of the forum isn't open to much thorough discussion.

And thank you dennycranium--your account will probably be helpful to those members who don't have the ability to host files. This will make it easier for people to downlaod the shows that we will be using for discussions in the club.

Thanks to Justin for posting and thanks to dennycranium for offering to make shows available.

Ok 5 people interested. Good start.

How often do we want to do a new entry? Once ever 2 weeks..3 weeks? Once a month?

How about the first Tuesday of every month?

Yeah agree. Show a month is about right.

Ok once a month.

Will be tricky to keep this thread going as it will get buried under all the download posts..

So are we good to have the range between 1969 and current day?

Based on the number of available shows, starting with the 1969 tour is a good starting point.

How about moving forward chronologically? We can hear how each tour evolved. And, we can hear how the song arrangements and their overall sound changed through the years.
