By official I mean all of this comes from official CD's, not bootlegs. I don't know if "promo only" releases should be considered official or not according to the forum rules.

Promo releases are not available to the general public, so I would not consider them official.
Same for radio edits; please let me know where I can buy them (officially of course, not on sites like e-bay!!!).

(I'm just an old retired Army officer, so if I'm wrong, please tell me!!!!!!)

Some radio edits or radio mixes and even promo tracks were released on regular CD singles. The dance remixes are for most of them on the singles box set. And the "rare" tracks were actually officially released.
I guess my question is where to draw the line.

Ironically when this stuff gets posted online, I believe Stones fans have less interest in purchasing those titles. I've been able to pick up a lot of them from eBay on the cheap because in my opinion the demand is lessened.

BTW, when I went to e-bay and searched for Rolling Stones promo, none of the first ones that showed up were less than 80 Euro.

The one you give as an example is one of the cheapest you can find (probably the reason why I also have it)

And it's still not from an official store/website or whatever.

I can take a joke, I just didn't know you were joking. In fact you are correct that a lot of the promos are WAY overpriced. Jumping Jack Flash, Doom and Gloom UK, etc. Also of these are not just released as promos as the regular issues are better. For example look at Sad Sad Sad 3inch, the regular issue has Too Much Blood on it and the more expensive promo does not. I'm not knocking on you guys putting these tracks up for download. (If you look at some of my posts from 5-6 year ago you will see I put up some "out of print" songs myself). That's when I started to look for these CD's and now I have every one that has those extra tracks and most of the remixes. I simply noticed that many of these CD's have not increased in price to much and quite a few are available now for reasonable prices.

Love is Strong with Joe the Butcher on [ebay.com] still not bad.
