I'm not sure about "most complete" as no one knows what would've been on it but I love Very Ancient, Thank You Kindly. One day they'll release it winking smiley

Hum, seems to have nothing to do with the Lost Live album...

"Keep Your Motor Runnin'" is the one to get.

Thx for the uploads.

One more question: the 1972 compilation sounds much better than 72/73 one. Can anyone explain what's the difference between them? Are they both prepared to be an official release or one of them is a bootleg compilation made by label's owners?

The bootleg sources are from acetates or other recordings of what was believed/rumoured to be going on to the unreleased 72 live album. So what we have is nothing more than a guess of the content. For all I know, the tracks selected for the official release may have been from other shows. Maybe other IORRians have more specific information on this?

It would be great to hear raw sources / acetates as both titles are heavily noise reduced. Anyone got them and willing to share with them?

Bob Newbury sent me cassette tape of this title that had the Uptight\Satisfaction encore edited to perfection. Unfortunately, the cassette is now long gone. But the setlist was pretty comparable to these songs, Tumbling Dice had vocal overdubs, as did RTJ.

Sad to hear that but I guess there are raw tapes / mixes somewhere from which VGP and other title have been made, right?

If you are comparing 'Morph-45' to [VGP-243 V2] , the 'Morph-45' release is EQ'd and may sound "better" on non-hi-fi equipment.

Almost all releases from the Sister Morphine label are Eq'd versions of other, already existing releases except for maybe "Closer Than Close" 1997 and perhaps the Astoria concert from 2003.

All silver pressed titles seemed to be EQ'd in some way, unfortunately...

Re: Decca Unreleased Live album - best version

I don't know about all of them.

Anyway, the point is that most reputable labels don't just take material that is already circulating in top tier (or near top tier) quality on other record labels and then ADD (some or more) artificial EQ to those already available recordings in what seemed to be an effort to "stand on the shoulders of giants" of the business.

This is not to say that makes the guy who ran the 'Sister Morphine' label a bad guy. He was / is not a bad guy. Gave me a bonus 2 CD set in addition to what I ordered one time.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Bob Newbury we could saturate his inbox with requests for the album I mentioned.

The best think would be to get raw tapes. I already compared all existing silver pressed bootlegs and unfortunately, the level of hiss reduction on all of them is very annoying, at least in my opinion.
