Milan 1970 new bootlegs
Posted by: Rank Stranger ()

Hi!

Seems that the Milan 1970 shows get a wider distribution now with at least two bootleg releases:

Evening show is/was quite rare, and unearthed by a member of this forum!

The evening Milan show was unearthed a while back, indeed by a member of this forum, but was only traded privately according to the wishes of the member.

There are two sources, a complete one, but with glitches, and an incomplete, more muffled one, which was used to paste over the glitches.

Several of the tracks of the first source are available on the DVD that was cobbled together of this show & which was posted here. The audio of this was taken by DAC & released together with other stuff, must be a couple of years ago.

Well I'm not the one who went behind other peoples backs, in case anybody is wondering, I never break a promise. One of the best 1970 recordings for sure. Deserves to be spread and enjoyed by the many

Erik, Anyone who has dealt with you before would not even think that for one second.
You're one of the classiest people in the Stones trading circles.

Regarding these shows, I cannot wait to hear them.
I currently only have 1970's shows from Berlin, Paris and Essen.

Hmm, I have a feeling I have to explain a bit.

I too promised to keep the tape to myself; I got the cd-r from Italy after paying for it.
I certainly did not give it to the bootleggers, in fact, I did not share it with anybody.
Didn't even tell anybody about it.
It was only yesterday, that I stumbled over these two releases;
and now I think, it should be traded freely!
I think it is pointless, to still "sit" on it.

The word is out...

Yes, that was a good bit of research by somebody .. or was it the real reason Mick Taylor left spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

You did the right thing by circumventing the bootleggers...you are not allowing them to make money off of a free cassette...

Anybody here can get it at Electric Ladyland if they want it

Audio=yes!
Don't know about the artwork; I think I never got it.
For the ELL upload I stole it from the bootleggers as seen above.
I chose the one with Mick Taylor. winking smiley

Thanks for all the info.

How does the ELL upload compare with the DAC081 release?

Also, which labels have released the first Milan show?

Thanks

Many thanks Rank Stranger.

I presume this is the best Milan 2nd from 1970 October 1?

What about the Japanese bootlegs (especially the first show)?

That will also have to wait until tomorrow.

But if anybody wants to post it here, that's fine with me; go ahead!

Just downloading now from ELL, didn't know it before. Just tried to give you a coin, but I still have to earn one. cool smiley

Here's the ELL site for others who want to DL it (it took me some minutes to find it):

Many thanks again Rank Stranger!

Just found out that I already have the same audio Hervé mentioned:

<Same tracklist.

"The complete evening show with great appreciation to Vanni for his efforts in obtaining the tapes.

The audio is indeed great. Now hoping for the complete first Milano 1970 show in good audio!

(I was really richer than I knew; don't know how I got that vox12string show)

I think VGP 261 and RS 89 don't differ.

And I guess YOU, DREAMERS: DASUYE NHK [2012] is from the same source and 'stereolized', but I'm of course not sure about that.
