Anyone has the complete recording? I would have thought it should be on the net by no, but no such luck it seems.

Was it in HD ? No HD for the BBC2 tonight it seems, besides it's only the first part.

Recorded the first part from BBC's Iplayer this morning, but it was encoded. Managed to remove the DRM, but the conversion (both to avi and mp4) have a slight pixel and synchro problem.
Edit: figured that out. Iplayer output is (encoded) flv, pretty low resolution but perfect for the small rectangleof Iplayer), so when you go full screen, resolution gets worse. (I think
Also have BBC 2 on our cable, recorded on digicorder, but don't have a DVD-recorder to get that one...

If you mean the one taken from BBC's Iplayer, it certainly is.
But remember that this is a documentary with a lot of old footage (from the Sixties, Seventies,...), so the original quality isn't always the best.
But there's no pixel nor synchro problem with this one.
I think the taper has converted his original HD recording into DivX, made the image a little smaller to have a reasonable size (it's still 1.3 Gb) and then torrented it.
So, until we have the original DVD in our house, this version is the best until now.
