Notes:

For the time period, a pretty good recording done on analog equipment. This has pretty solid dynamics and the mix of instruments and vocals is pretty good, with all parts correctly represented. The only down-side to this recording, as with many tapes made in stadiums, is a little echo "stadium" sound as well as an extremely enthusiastic crowd. The cheering, talking, etc. doesn't detract too much from the loud songs, although between-song banter as well as "The Worst" suffer from distracting audience talking/cheering. Worth having for completists. I decided to digitize this after downloading a version posted on rocks off that sounded horrific; I figured that if that was the best circulating document of this show, it would be worth putting this version out there.

On a different note, I had forgotten that the setlist for this tour was so good. Old warhorses like "Beast of Burden" and "Shattered" found their way back into the set with good arrangements, and the band tackled the Voodoo Lounge material with enthusiasm that makes these songs sound fresh again 12 years later. (I doubt that even the more hardcore fans listen to that album much these days.) This is a fun show.

No artwork, sorry. Fingerprints are included, however.
