I think the Captain Acid release is the best and most complete version.

It's also in the vault: [www.filefactory.com]

Named "APCD 018 1977.03.04+05 El Mocambo_CaptainAcidRemaster_UPGRADE_Version 2.rar"

But this one and the one posted by j.b.goode are both lossy....

Captain Acid once declared to me the files might look lossy but he never uses lossy material for his remastering.

It was my tape transfer, definitely not lossy. Azimuth adjusted and all that jazz...

But do we have the original or a version that was polluted (wav -> mp3 -> wav)?

When checking with Audacity, all tracks (from both downloads) drop to 0 at 15 KHz...

Hmm, that's a good question and i don`t know. I am uploading my original remaster again, so that one is not polluted or lossy for sure.I`ll share it here in a few minutes

I'm so stupid!!!!!!

I only checked the first and the last track of the previous uploads and thos were cut off at 15 kHz.
Now I checked the latest upload and picked track 7, and that one certainly isn't lossy!

So I checked all tracks from all 3 uploads and they are all the same; 1st and last track cut off at 15 kHz, all other tracks not.

Sorry to have let you guys go through all is trouble and doubt.....

to remaster is a term used when you try to make something better. Since this is a bootleg forum whatever you got as a source file is considered a master, and when you remaster it it means you try to make it sound better.....in simple words, not trying to get too much in to details of the process itself
