Hi All,
Again I need assistance with a program because I recently got a new computer with Win 10-64BIT

The program I used to have on my old computer Win XP was called DVD Region+CSS Free 5.9.8.5

Anyone know where I can find this program with no adware included?

Thanks in advance.

If the world had any balls. we'd have run a successful campaign to force Microsoft and the browser makers and video player designers to keep supporting Windows XP,the world's finest OS. But capitalism does things to your will.

Google seems to bring up a lot of links. Does this not work?

Windows XP was one of THE weakest operating systems ever for security. One of the easiest to hack into.

Other than that, all Windows OS have a built-in backdoor.

I don't mess with Windows except for very rare exceptions. For example of those exceptions,to use my Kodak scanner ; and to update the maps on a GPS. That's about all that I can think of off of the top of my head.

I take Windows machines, and either completely erase Windows,or shrink the Windows OS partition to make room for GNU/Linux operating systems such as (beginner friendly) MX-Linux ; Mageia Linux and now more advanced systems like Void Linux , RedCore Linux , and Alpine Linux.

If you need to run Windows XP on a new system though, you can buy a full retail version in a factory sealed box on eBay and then install it inside of VirtualBox or aQemu or VMware inside of another operating system. Then you could run XP software that way.

Which MS could have fixed, also updating XP for those who prefer it to later Windows versions that are more painful to operate.

I don't care about back doors - if they want you, they'll find you.

What about just getting a region free / zone free component DVD player that you hook up to a TV / projector / monitor.

If you look around, you can find one in good condition, second hand. In general, disc players from around 2003 to 2010 (some of them anyway) were more reliable with a much better build quality than most of what is out there today.

Many older zone-free players from brands like Oppo , Harmon/Kardon , Pioneer, and Denon could easily be made region free by pressing a few buttons.

Might be worth researching specific models and looking into. Just a possible solution without knowing the exact details of your situation.

Then, there is plenty of disc copying / disc back-up software out there for all computer operating systems to handle that aspect.
