Well, it's not 100% watchit's version from HC, I made some small "optimizations", especially on disc 2. As we all know there are parts in between the songs not available at all. I found watchit's transitions between the tracks a bit "rough", so I smoothed them a bit by better crossfading. And he added some interviews that are missing, sorry.

Has anybody who downloaded this compared it with Watchit's torrent, and can tell if one is better sounding & more complete than the other ? (apart from the obvious change of speed) ?

And me. About 10 years after that.....

I compared with "He is not dead" and to my ears this version looks identical, in the sense that the same sources have been probably used.
The difference is that HND was one semitone lower while this one is very close to the correct speed.
So, thanks for this new version which is one step forward.
But still some spoken words are missing, hence this is not going to be the definitive version.

Thank you for your kind words. I have always liked the Hyde Park show and it's sad that this important show was never documented properly on official releases. When assembling this version, I used the SODD 015 CD as my basis. I added missing elements from PARK 08 (speed-corrected), LL 032 and SCORPIO. I added some Mick talk from the watchit version (I speed/pitch-corrected the watchit elements). I used the Moonchild and Swinging Pig releases for reference and in order to check/compare playback speed and Mick talk.
This version includes all the elements of the Hyde Park show that I know. Unfortunately there are still cuts in Mick's onstage announcements. If anybody has any Mick talk that is not in this version, then please upload it and I will insert it into the files.
I even talked to somebody who was at the show to get some more information about the performance, but the guy told me he was so stoned that day that he does not even remember what songs they played ;-)

love this kind of work..to get complete concerts together,,from various sources.

well, there're some people in the Tell me section who saw the boys in 1963 and in the 64 US tour and don't remember anything of those gigs !!

I only know the audience tape(s) released on CD by SCORPIO. It is on page 1 of this thread.

At the Moment it seems that it's even hotter here in Germany than it was in July 69 in London; I only did a quick comparison between MrEcho's and watchit's version.
I didn't check the in-between banter etc., just the sound.
It seems that MrEcho did very well with the "tape speed/hot summer day out of tune" problems, but to me watchit's version still sounds a bit better, has a "warmer" sound. MrEcho's version sounds quite loud, on the brink of sounding "brickwalled".
Anyway, I will keep both versions and I would like to thank watchit and MrEcho for their efforts; must have been a whole lot of work!

The other version is the very old vinyl bootleg on the Contra Band label. Unfortunately it contains only the incomplete show until Honky Tonk Women. Apart from an incomplete I'm Free & Loving Cup it seems to be complete with all words by Mick between the songs. However watchit used also this recording for his version so you won't find anything new here. Nevertheless, if wanted, I can upload an LP rip.
