I haven't gotten it yet but logically yes it should be a strong gig, as strong as the 1st Paris show which was outstanding.

Mick always wants to make an impression for the opening night in a major market... I mean city! grinning smiley

Original Upload by Tonstone - on AMProductions 04071990.

I remember uploading this one to some snidey remarks 'There is only One Boss - Bruce Springsteen' etc - well in the Stones camp there really is only one Boss -" She's The Boss"

Yes I can't remember where I got it from - I think it may have been Rocks Off -If so Photo courtesy of Rocks Off - The back art is not mine, at the time I was using basic programmes and my back cover is very plain.

Thank you - was my first Rolling Stones show - and all around me people were watching the World Cup on mini TVs - I was appalled!

That's awful! You spend a couple hundred dollars to watch the Rolling Stones perform, and spend the whole two-hour show watching soccer (or football, whatever)? Unbelievable!

Yeah, in fact when England did something in the game you could hear people cheer collectively in the audience...

Man, now I've gotta listen to this show! At least there were a few people paying attention to the real reason they went to the show...

I am having a quick listen - about 2 mins into Almost Hear You Sigh you can hear the audience start screaming spontaneously - that was World Cup...
That is why Mick says at the end of the song "Is the tension getting to you out there"? He knew the crowd was distracted...and that he was competing with people watching/listening to the game in the audience.
Track 3 CD2 before PIB - people singing "England...England" and people talking about the game.
I remember reading at the time that Mick himself was watching backstage during Keith's set.

Now for the bad news : the tape runs very fast. Be prepared to speed-correct it by 3.2% with Audacity if you're into musical accuracy... winking smiley

I don't know but this one has been ripped from a (tired?) cd-r at some stage. There are regular clicks during the last track of each disc.

Imoh this is a nice show but I kinda like the 1st Paris gig more. Mick was on fire that night.
