I would assume these are all actual MONO since they were mixed that way.Of course I've been told that the Beggars was a fold down other than "Sympathy' but I dont know. Check out the Flowers here.

The question probably is wether the bootleg CD are an actual rip of the mono vinyl or simply a foldown of the stereo cd.

I know the Flowers and Beggars sound good to me. For Aftermath I just listen to my 1966 original London issue.

Not necessarily though, I think there's a Russian label that does the mono CDs with fold downs.

From Wikipedia:

"A needle drop is a common term used to describe a version of a music album that has been transferred from a vinyl record to digital audio or other formats.Needle drops are sometimes traded among music collectors, especially when the original vinyl recording has not been released officially on a subsequent consumer format."

"Downmixing is a general term used for manipulating audio where a number of distinct audio channels are mixed together to produce a lower number of channels. Also known as fold-down."

How much is the 1st press mono worth? I found a copy on ebay:

Is it too steep?

Is there an official cd-release that includes the mono version of Down The Road Apiece?
