Vancouver and the two Seattle; I'm still d/l them , so I can't compare but comments look enthusiastic. Seattle seems to be better quality than Fair to remember.

I confirm, EX quality. Vancouver looks sbd. Never heard Ventilator blues like this one.
I strongly suggest to grab them. Best findings of 2010.
Seattle early show seems the same source of Fair to remember, although better quality. But Rip this joint and JJF are incomplete same as in the wellknown FTR.

Notes: JEMS is proud to be able to partner with and present some of the choice recordings in the D & D archives. Some of these recordings have been around for years but none of the master tapes or safety copies in some cases have ever been digitized until now. Dave and Donn taped many shows in and around the Seattle area in the 70's and also were contemporaries of some of the JEMS members. Volume 3 captures the Rolling Stones on the opening night of their 1972 tour in support of their Exile On Main Street album. This recording was done on Dave's dads combo radio/tape recorder with Donn and Dave taking turns holding the mics and working the cassette deck. This an excellent recording but a little heavy on the bass. This copy is from Dave's reels, the masters may or may not still exist. It is possible Donn may still have them but they couldn't be located at this time (Sept. 2010). There were a lot firsts at this show this was the first time Rocks Off, Tumbling Dice, Happy, Torn And Frayed, Sweet Virginia, Ventilator Blues, All Down The Line and Rip This Joint were played in a live setting. This show is the only night of the tour that Torn And Frayed along with Ventilator Blues were played. Honky Tonk Women was also dropped from the set after this show to only show up at select shows as an encore. This is a great a high energy show if a little rough around the edges due to it being the opening night of the tour. The recording has been mastered for sonic enhancement.

Dave and Donn taped many shows in and around the Seattle area in the 70's and also were contemporaries of some of the JEMS members. Volume 2 captures the Rolling Stones early show at the Seattle Center Coliseum oturing in support of their Exile On Main Street album. They played 2 shows this day an early and late show. This was the 2nd show of the tour and 1st show of the tour in the U.S. The performance is a high energy affair but rough around the edges since it is still early in the tour. This is one of the few shows in this series that was not taped by Dave or Donn. It has been a long strange journey concerning this recording since until now this is one of the few recordings JEMS made that has been missing from the their vaults as far back as about when it was originally taped. This was one of S' of JEMS very first recordings he ever made. He was unhappy with the recording because it had too much distortion and when he traded tapes with Donn back around 72-73 time frame he gave Donn the master tapes for this show. They've been sitting in the D & D archives ever since and may no longer even exist. Maybe another sweep through their archives might turn up the master tapes but until then these 1st gen reels are probably the best source left for this historic show. The recording is fair to good but does have distortion in sections but the distortion is not overwhelming to the point of making the recording unlistenable. Like with other shows in this series this has been mastered for sonic improvement.

Dave and Donn taped many shows in and around the Seattle area in the 70's and also were contemporaries of some of the JEMS members. Volume 4 captures the Rolling Stones late show at the Seattle Center Coliseum touring in support of their Exile On Main Street album. They played 2 shows this day an early and late show. This was the 3rd show of the tour and 2nd show of the tour in the U.S. This recording was done on Dave's dads combo radio/tape recorder with Donn and Dave taking turns holding the mics and working the cassette deck. This an excellent recording but a little heavy on the bass. The complete master couldn't be located at this time so a 1st gen safety reel of Dave's was used to fill in the missing sections. This is the best overall performance of the two Stones shows Dave and Donn taped in 1972 with a fabulous performance of You Can't Always Get What You Want. The recording was mastered for sonic enhancement.
Oh wow, the Vancouver show would be great to hear, it's that much better? Please someone upload to megaupload or gigasize here. UrbanSteel, you are looking like the man right now! I hope so! thanks
they are all taken from known sources, all audience recordings, but they are all better than the circulating tapes because the new transfer is from the master tape or a 1st gen copy.
Torn And Frayed and Ventilator Blues live 1972 in such good quality. Great! So sorry they dropped those songs (like they - alas! - dropped 100 Years Ago in 1973).
