Get Yer Ya Ya's Out v's The Who Live at Leeds. Video
Date: November 13, 2010 15:02
They are regarded as 2 of the greatest live albums of all time and were recorded within weeks of each other: The Stones with Get Yer Ya Ya's Out and The Who Live At Leeds. Although some of Ya Ya's was captured for Gimme Shelter, unfortunately Live at Leeds was not filmed. However a Who concert was filmed within days of the Stones and is fairly close to the Leeds concert. Here then is an opportunity to compare both bands as they were in late '69. The track listings for both shows is not exact compared to the albums due to lost footage but is close as possible:
Ya Ya's: Jumping Jack Flash; Carol (no gaps); Satisfaction; Love in Vain; Sympathy For The Devil (Altamont); Little Queenie (no gaps); Honky Tonk Woman; Street Fighting Man (no Gaps).
The Who Live (nearly at) Leeds: Young Man Blues; Pinball Wizard (replaces sustitute); Summertime Blues; Shakin' All Over; Amazing Journey/Sparks/ Eyesight for the Blind (replaces Magic Bus); My Generation. (Note Who audio is remastered).
