I know... they couldn't have opened with Dead Flowers??? It's also the 1st song on my Marquee 71 video tape. Did they open w/ JJF?

Regretably; JUMPIN ' JACK FLASH followed by LIVE WITH ME are missing from the Leeds 1971 boot.

That's really too bad. Think of how it could have been even better with those songs!

(now that I'm thinking about it, maybe Live W/ Me started the video tape I have ...)

I'd say about 30 different bootlegs.

I was at this gig in 1971. The support acts were the Groundhogs and Noir, a black Afro-rock outfit. Tickets were 19 shillings of our English money, just under 1GBP today. For tickets, we had to queue at the Uni all night to be sure of a place in line. As luck would have it, heavy snow fell throughout the previous day and public transport had stopped. So, we walked four miles in the snow to the Uni. The powers that be took pity on us and opened up the refectory, where we could get hot drinks and doss on the floor for the night. Tickets purchased, we walked home in the snow and crashed out!

The gig was good, as the download shows. I have had the boot for many years. I had maintained for decades now that this was the classic band line up and that they haven't issued a 'great' record since Mick taylor left - discuss!

Take care.

Some time ago someone posted here on IORR that these first 2 songs were apparently broadcasted once many years ago and apparently exist somewhere in non-excellent quality. But I have never ever seen or heard anything about them. Was it just a hoax? Does anyone know anything about this?
