The Shot Of Salvation version is from the Gimme Shelter movie but without the speaker overdubbed. This CD contains also the complete versions of Love In Vain (Baltimore) and Gimme Shelter (Altamont) from the movie, where both are edited and shortened.

I thought SFM from "Shot of Salvation" was a different mix of the version on Ya-Ya's but not the same performance as in Gimme Shelter. Am I wrong?

I haven't done a recent comparison of these two, but I know from previous listenings that the version of "Street Fighting Man" on Shot of Salvation is not from an acetate...

I always wondered how excellent professional recordings of "Carol" "Love In Vain" and "Street Fighting Man" as well as "Gimme Shelter" from Altamont made the bootleg circuit, but no others from the 69 tour...

There are 2 Street Fighting Man in the movie, one (complete with speaker overdub) from NYC and one (fragment) from Altamont.

Stray Cat from YaYa's is from Baltimore with overdubbed vocals. Stray Cat from the Acetate is from MSG. Yes, two seperate performances. original research contributed by Chris M's web site.
