you're right but this book is so beautiful that I'm still glad I got it one year ago.

In ANY case $676 is too much for a non-vintage photobook. Plus the edition of 1850+750 copies is quite large.
Genesis started the sick trend, Russell tried to jump on the train, he fell hard on his a$$, and now he's trying to recoup his investment with the 23$ edition.

And Russell doesn't EVEN make cleairz whether the print that comes with the "limited" version is made on RC or FB photo paper.
If it's RC it has ZERO value and it will destroy itself over time. Only FB prints are archival.

I wouldn't call him a scoundrel but imho he definitely tried to do things "Genesis style" (without having to give a share of the profits to a publisher) and he obviously failed.

"He plagarized most of the "Let It Bleed" text from old articles from 1970s Ramparts magazines"
LOL I have this "Stones Special" Ramparts mag which I bought about 10 years ago.

"I would bet that it is RC"
You're right Frias, doing 750 FB prints is a pita that takes ages, whereas 750 throwaway RC prints on a no-brand paper can be done by an assistant over 2 days smoking smiley

"I will be spending my weekend enjoying a large piece of humble pie"

I'll eat mine gladly if he sends you a signed FB print.
Mr Russell, looks like you're a gentleman and if you read these modest words I've heard lots of good things about you by a man who exposed 600 rolls (of TRI-X?) in `71 with a Nikon F and 35mm and 90mm lenses smileys with beer

Hey, dcba, don't get crazy now. I'm expecting a computer-print of a copy of a photo with some scribbling at the end -- nothing more!!!

To quote the Monty Pythons I'd say "always look at the bright side of life" >grinning smiley<

The cost of education is not cheap.

Compared to the cost of ignorance there is no contest.
