It's not the GD. It's the New Riders of the Purple Sage when they had Jerry and Phil, 1970-71

Could someone repost the Prince cover of Honky Tonk Women? I use to own a copy of that boot but it disappeared many years ago.

The one with the Black Crowes sounds good too.

Humble Pie
Black Crowes
Grateful Dead
Joe Cocker
Leslie West
Radiators
Signal Trip
The Leftovers
The Ventures
Tina Turner
Willie Nelson/Leon Russell
Prince

A Dozen Honky Tonk Women

Thanks to coldturkey and SonicBBQ for the files.

What a two-sider HTW/YCAGWYW was - to be spoken of in the same breath as Presley's Hound Dog/Don't Be Cruel and Dylan's LARS/Gates of Eden.
In fact, that summer of'69 - and a very nice summer it was,too - MJ never seemed to be out of the papers - wearing a dress in Hyde Park, off to Australia to film Ned Kelly, and MF coming home after OD'ing, if I remember correctly 40 years on.

Cheers.
