How Do I Transfer the Audio from a DVD to a CD?

just recorded a neil young concert last eve on miniDV tape. I mean, I personally recorded it at the show itself on my videocamera.

want to transfer the audio portion to CD.

First, I will copy the videotape to DVD.

Then, what do I do from there?

If you're on a Mac then I'd recommend Audio Hijack Pro. Costs $32 for the full version but with a couple of clicks you're recording anything that can possibly be played through your computer speakers, at any quality.
But there's probably some free way of doing it, depending on whether you use PC or Mac.

I use #1 DVD Audio Ripper. It works on Windows 95/ 98/ Me / XP / 2000 / 2003 Server /Vista. But it is not freeware, it costs $34.00.

The last one in that post is probably the best of the three.

Personally,I swear by a program called DVD Audio Extractor which is not free but,they give you a free 30 day trial.

If it were me I wouldn't even bother copying it to DVD. Firstly I would transfer the footage onto my hard drive as an mpg file. Then I would just de-mux it using TmpGenc Xpress.
