I dont know where these two songs originated(recording wise) but "Good Times Bad Times" is different from the complete show thats been circulating. Note no problems at the 1 min. mark on this recording. Where's the rest of it I wonder. Going to the bootleggers?

The problem is that most posters here (or "bloggers" at other boards) don't give credit or info about the uploads they're doing. "No credit" is the common practice for them.

The uploader at Dime wrote:
"There is a small problem about a minute into the first song. Not sure what happened. It's on the master. "

I saw that comment on all the other sites that had the entire show for download but I just wondered. Erik, do you think the version of GTBT here (along with Stairway) could have been from some kind of bcast, as clean and clear as it is?

Sorry, Scottkeef - I can't give you an answer.
I just downloaded the audience recording from Dime. I know that excerpts were broadcasted though - maybe the 2 songs posted here, for all I know.
I'm not really a Led Zeppelin fan. If I were, I'd have checked out every detail about this concert.

thanks Erik. I generally only grab the Zep shows that have some "special" meaning myself. Thats why I wanted to hear this one. I also would recommend the Zep Paris 69 recent re-bcast for any "casual" fans.

Thanks for advice Scottkeef.
I just don't get the hang of Led Zeppelin allthough I've got nothing against them of course....it's just MY problem.
If you've got a....what do you call it in English - well, NOT a dial-up modem - but a beter one;
I'd really advice you get a torrent-software, and joining a tracker or two.
You get terrific recordings in lossless quality - and also info straight from the uploader. If you go to the Rocks Off messageboard, and then press "bit torrent help", you'll get some useful info on how to get things started.

Thanks. Erik. I do have cable internet connection. I'm pretty new to all this. I know this is a dumb question but what is "lossless quality"?

Not a dumb question at all!
Lossless quality means the exact same quality as a CD. You might see the term "CD quality" written on IORR when there's an MP3 upload. But....it's not.
Quite funny; I've bought some pressed bootleg CDs, which sounds just terrific....yet I never been getting relationship to those bootlegs....I get a headache by listening to them; allthough I can't point my finger on what's wrong. Later I found out that it's MP3 sourced recordings. So; there's things that's happening in one's brain; that's beyond one's own control.

Nothing beats tapes and vinyls tho'. But lossless recordings is the way to go if we're talking about digital recordings.
Here's Rocks Off bittorrent help: [www.rocksoff.org]
Azureus, Bit-tornado or utorrent is the torrent software to go for. I use Azureus.
Just ask something you're wondering about - would be glad to give advice.
