REPOST: Led Zeppelin - Zurich 29 June 1980

This is a compilation from a couple of boots ("Peerless Performance" and "Tour of Europe"), so it is a mix of soundboard & audience. Unfortunately, "Kashmir" is cut at 7:15, but the rest of the show is intact. These are MP3s at the listed bitrates.

Sorry, folks, they didn't play "Whole Lotta Love" at this show.

Note: Robert is in a very playful mood, so there's much onstage banter. Jimmy evens speaks to the audience at one point. Also, JPJ and Bonham prove why they were maybe the best rhythm section that ever was.

Ok, maybe half-a-dozen of you have d/l this show. Sendspace has an expiration limit on inactive files, so get them while you can.

Cool -- this is from the "Unledded" DVD. I have the remastered version, and it is excellent. It has maybe the best 5.1 mix I've ever heard.

This is awesome. I love it. Thank you so much. I hope bv doesn't mind these kind of off topic posts. Btw, is that JPJ on the piano? That piano sounds great on Hot Dog & Since I've been loving you.

Yes, that's JPJ. As far as I know, Led Zep never performed live with extraneous musicians, which is actually kind of a shame. To hear that band with the orchestral backing we heard on "Unledded" would've been sublime.

In the words of Robert Plant, " I..thank you." I'm glad you're enjoying it. I particularly love JPJ's bass tone on this -- I think he was using an Alembic. He played well at this show, apart from getting lost on "Kashmir" a couple of times.

This will be the last time I offer this one up, unless I get specific requests.

The very last show with Bonham was just a few days later -- July 7, in Berlin.
