Someone posted a boot that I THINK was the GIMME SHELTER soundtrack (it sounded crystal clear and like a soundboard, not an audience recording). I don't think it was sourced from the official DVD as no one was threatened for posting it. If anyone knows what I'm talking about and can post the tracks, that would be greatly appreciated.

It might be, but this sounded crisp like a recent remaster from the original tapes not like a vinyl boot with pops and cracks. I've done a search in the forum, but I can't seem to find it.

There is a cd-r circulating called "Gimme Shelter" subtitled:
"The Complete Soundtrack For The First Time Remastered From The Original
Master Reel"
sounds very good!
Unfortunately, I cannot show the covers here, but I will scan them and send

A big thank you to Rank Stranger! I can't upload the CDR as most of it is sourced from the Criterion DVD, but I would be happy to mail a copy to someone interested in the music with the guarantee they will likewise pass it on to another Stones fan for free.

No, I meant the one Rank Stranger mentions which is sourced from the Criterion DVD plus a couple of Beggars outtakes to fill out the disc.
