Do you have to convert flac files to another format before burning to cd's that will play on any cd player? If so, best method? When burning mp3's to cd my Roxio automatically converts to proper format.
voss, you need convert the files FLAC for another format before burning the CD. Then Roxio makes the remaining. Below you have the link for download of FLAC
if you wanna burn flac files directly to cd without converting, there are more programs available. for instance: burn supports burning from FLAC out of the box.
Depends on your burning software, latest nero does it, no probs. VLC & Winamp also play flac files as is.
Flac is just a lossless compression archive file, similar to zip or rar, in that there is a wav file INSIDE the flac,when you de-compress a flac you get exactly what you put in.
I have downloaded azureus and the Internet download manager and now I don't know what to do with them. I have Nero and it doesn't automatically work to burn the flac files for a stones show I've already downloaded. I went to a site to download some Nero plug-ins, and I couldn't. Can anybody help me?

I use a program called SWITCH on my Mac. Very easy to get and very easy to use.
I generally covert FLAC to MP3 320 or AIFF for burning to CD.
Some people get very hyped about the lossless nature of FLAC. The problem is most of the bootlegs on here are rough enough that I'm not sure there is much of an audible difference between most formats. But it's all enjoyable.
