Torrent Download Help!!

I just downloaded a file...I then installed Torrent Bit...I started to extract the files...It said it was going to take hours!! Is this accurate?

Also what format will these files be in once they are extracted?
And, Can I get the files to MP3? If I have to convert, please explain...
