Hey everyone! Here are some more versions of various Some Girl outtakes, these being on the bootleg CD titled "Some Trax II" (I'm afraid I don't have "Some Trax I"). The 8 tunes are as follows:

(3) Name: Miss You (Some Trax II).wma (a little slower, contains a glitch)
Size: 8MB

The download link is: [www.sendspace.com]

(4) Name: I Can't Help It (I Love You Too Much) (Some Trax II).wma (a nice "punkish" version)

Size: 5MB

The download link is: [www.sendspace.com]

(6) Name: Far Away Eyes (Some Trax II).wma

(7) Name: Some Girls (Some Trax II).wma

(8) Name: A Different Kind (Some Trax II).wma (The CD mislabels this as "Everlasting My Love")

Enjoy! If I can figure out how to provide the artwork with the equipment we have here, I'll do that as well.

That version of I Can't Help It sounds like it's playing way too slow.

Here's the same song from Girls, Pills and Powders. Plays fast, but in pitch-

Yeah, a couple of the tracks seem to be on the slow side (particularly Miss You). I wasn't sure if that was intentional or not.

Along with Vol 1 this is an old bootleg released in the early nineties.
According to Nico Zentgraf in his book 'Collector's Delight Or Collector's Disease' (1997) he said this

CD1 Quality = Very Good/Excellent Stereo
Note:: All tracks run somewhat too slow

CD2 Quality = Very Good/Excellent Stereo
Note:: Some tracks run somewhat too slow
track 8 (A Different Kind) too fast.

My pleasure, everyone!

rumple21: I'll have to find a copy of that book. Sounds like it has some invalueable information within its pages.

Cheers!

Here's the link to Nicos books page

The book reviews and/or rates many of the early bootlegs but it's now well out of date since there has been a vast output of boots since it was last printed.

Hey, thanks so much for the link, my friend! I see what you mean though, in that the material could stand to be updated. Perhaps it will happen at some point.

The better choice for these Some girls outtakes is "Paris Outtakes Vol. I & II" on Vigotone.

No the better choice is the 5CD Girls, Pills and Powders from Pignose Records. It blows all other Some Girls releases away

I totally agree for the clever tracklist, but not for the sound.
Most of the tracks can be found with a better sound on "Place Pigalle" from VGP.
The pignose is valuable because there is some trax hard to find on it, like the early version of FAE...
Btw, Some trax are very old releases which runs too slow and got a lot of noise.

Place Pigalle by VGP does not only contains tracks from Some Girls Sessions, it's also from Emotional Rescue and some Tatoo You sessions.
