OT: searching for Gram
Posted by: cosmoprim ()

I posted something about this in Tell Me, but I guess it really should be over here.

I'm looking for any rare post-ISB Gram (live or otherwise).

In particular, I'd love to get my hands on the lost A&M GP solo sessions:
1971, Gram goes into A&M studios with Terry Melcher (producing), Ry Cooder, Clarence White, Les Ball & others to record for a solo album. Songs recorded included: White Line Fever, I Fall To Pieces, Dream baby (Roy Orbison), She Thinks I Still Care. Gram himself signs the master tapes out of the A&M library that Fall and they are never seen again. DOes anyone know if any of this stuff has ever surfaced?

Any help/info would be most appreciated.

Haven't heard about that, but there is a new album on Sundazed featuring the "lost" 1965-66 sessions featuring Codine, Wheel Of Fortune, Another Side Of This Life, High Flyin' Bird, November Nights, Zah's Blues, Reputation, That's The Bag I'm In, They Still Go Down, Pride Of Man, Brass Buttons, I Just Can't Take It Anymore, and Candy Man.

I've got a test press of the A&M Lp, but nothing really drastically different...no way to digitize it, though...

The Palomino shows are very cool, If you can download it, you won't be sorry. There are two seperate Palomino shows that are of equal quality, before Gram really got torn up.

You have to be a member there so it might take you a little while to register.

Then search for +Gram +Parsons

you have to put a + before the words you are searching for.
