I something like that will ever see the light of day I'd prefer it to be in chronological order. And 4 CDs of Steel Wheels and VL outtakes seem far too much for me. These records are nice, but historically irrelevant (no offense here!). Contrary to the stuff from the 60s and 70s.
For Steel Wheels and VL it would be nice to have Special Editions with the full album and another disc of session recordings, outtakes/ demos and alternate takes.
Furthermore, it would be nice to have more than one take from certain songs, to get a glimpse on the evolution of songs. E.g., the first demo of "Tumbling Dice" (can't remember the title) and some later versions.
Other than on the Beatles Anthology I prefer full takes (even breakdowns) to different takes being mixed into a new one.
