With all this stuff available on DVD by trading old VHS tapes are almost worthless, particularly if several generations old.

Steven: Maybe they are worthless to you but not to others. There are many people who prefer to buy than to trade.

I question Stoneslicks use of the word "master", but if someone wants to buy the tapes it is their perogative.

I don't think he understands the meaning of the word "master". A master VHS tape is a single copy by the person who filmed the show. Any other VHS tape has to be at least a first gen. I know for a fact who filmed some of the shows on his list, and I believe, just for an example, that his Hartford 1999 shows are probably fourth or fifth generation copies. These masters are sitting at this monent in New York City. I have a first generation copy of Oklahoma city 1999, and there is no way his copy is less than third generation (probably fifth generation). The master from this show is at this moment still in Oklahoma City.
similarly, I know some masters are in Florida, not in his hands.

They are "his masters" from the perspective that they are the tapes he used to make copies to sell, but they are far from being masters by the definition of the word in the world of trading.

Right Bob Well I think I used or should have used the word " my masters" No Im not trying to say these are ones I have filmed I have never filmed nothing my whole life.....I must say I do think some of them are better than you think BOB...I have been selling a few some people still use vhs and if they want something the price is very neg.. Or I will trade for something such as Cds or something I do not have... I will not just give them away as one person suggested cause I do not see people just sending me free stuff in the mail all the time... I will continue to sell or trade them at cheep price at least to cover shipping and make a dollar from the trip of going to post office...
