IORR: Decline and fall
Date: July 9, 2008 21:33

It's been on the downward curve for a while but the thread about the Stones and how they smell is an all time low.

A sad day.

No No No, the smell thread wasn't an all time low. threads can get tedious but that one was funny.

Your dignifying it with a post is the all time low, lad.

I guess there is a certain truth to that but I do reserve the right to comment. I could have pointed out other threads as well. I don't claim to have authored anything great myself but the quality of reading materil is in decline.

These sort of threads are bound to crop up while the Stones are inactive. Still, if you look you can find some interesting threads.

Wouldn't this topic/post been better off kept in the "how the Stones smell" thread?
Why start an entire new thread?

<<It's been on the downward curve for a while>>

I don't agree. Within a month or so, we had the Aberdeen '82, Norman Jopling and Bobby Jamison threads, with some really great stuff and info.

If people continue to post cool videos and songs, maybe some boots like they have on youtube with just pictures, set lists, pictures and the lot, I don't see a decline - the decline is the Stones aren't doing anything. It's up to everyone here to keep it interesting, funny, argumentative, etc...just as long as it doesn't get boring. Dumb and funny is just that, dumb and funny.

Actually, I think the beginning of the decline can be traced back to your thread having to do with toasters.

They are great toasters but cost a huge amount of money. £120 just to cook bread you must have more money than sense.winking smiley

was a very welcome 'house-warming' gift.
I have a colour-coordinated kettle, from the same range.

I feel like the site has been going to Hell in a handbasket ever since we "lost" Leonard K.

Anyone hear from the old boy lately?
