On a sad note,in 2006 you cant always get what you want with the choir, was played
at my sons funeral,And what a sad day that was, Mike was 25 and loved the stones, and i miss him every day.

Technically, "I" won't be able to play anything at my funeral, but I might like to hear "Back to Zero."

That must be hard terry........keep the good memories

But I came close at my fathers funeral. Took You gotta move and rewrote it once more (it's a traditional in the first place) and changed it from a religious song to a song of kinship and strong friendship.

Terry, that is so sad, sounds like he had a good life and many tributes.

I thought mine would also start with YCAGWYW, and end with Can't You Hear Me Knocking, my favorite and a good start for the living to celebrate the rest of their lives.

Wild Horses and Winter have been on my list for a while...maybe add Slipping Away to that.

I'd probably choose This Place Is Empty.

Good choice. I had that played at my mother's funeral (off the Stripped Away bootleg), the other two pieces of music were by Johann Strauss and Chopin.

As for my own funeral ... well at least the same version of Wild Horses I'd like to think. As for what else, haven't thought about it really, but good ole 2120 S Michigan Ave would be a strong contender I'd guess.

Now here's a truly awful thought, but in as much as WE are all gonna die someday, so too are THEY, the majestic Rolling Stones. Perish the thought, but indeed the same fate ultimately awaits us all.

So what the blazes would one imagine would be played to see out Mr Jagger, Mr Richards, Mr Watts and Mr Wood when their time comes ?
