But they only did it part of the tour.

Great tour, Gabriel's last. I think we never understood what was going on. A cover band called The Musical Box recreates this concert very good.

I guess my memory is playing tricks with me. I'm sure your right but I can't imagine why Keith wouldn't have done BTMMR.

REM ended the Green Tour with a show at Atlanta's Fox Theatre. The first set was Murmur! The second set was Green. Man that was GOOD!!!

It would make sense, wouldnt it? But his solo spot that tour was "Happy". What show was it you were at?

I wouldn't mind hearing Madman Across The Water with more of a band sound and less strings. Astral Weeks also crosses my mind, but the mood on that album is so delicate that it is probably left best alone. It's a hit or miss idea.

LOL!

I've seen the Stones play an entire album in concert... I think it was Made in the Shade....or was it Rewind...or Sucking in the 70's? Half of Hot Rocks one time...

David Gilmour played his entire new album when he toured in 2006. Then came back after an intermission and played Pink Floyd songs. Although after a few shows when people started showing up late to the shows he changed it up and started opening up with Breath and Time before going into the new material.

"It's just some friends of mine and they're busting down the door"

The Who played most of Tommy live in 1969/70 (save a couple of songs) then they played all of it live on a few occasions in 1989. The Who also played all of Quadrophenia live in 1996/97.

they sure did Happy Jack! I saw them twice during that period (and also before and after)...and it was an incredible thing to pull off...they really took you thru the whole story with so much explosive brilliance and power...just amazing material; what a thrill to see them at the actual Metropolitan Opera House in NYC...one helluva venue!...the acoustics??? are you kidding? poifect. wow

Ahhh....I do remember hearing a full album in concert...it took me a while to remember...

Frank Zappa. 1984, Thingfish...he played the entire album and it was very new at the time. For an encore he/they played a cover of the Allman Brothers "Whippin' Post" which was very cool yet very bizarre in contrast with his own material.

Seeing that Frank is long gone now, I remember that show, which was in a very small theater, as the most unique concerts I've ever seen. I feel lucky to have caught that show.
