quite a few IORReans will most likely appear in Shine A Light, I guess.
but everything counts - even as a child.
so what's your movie cameo?

my take:
Two friends and myself were miming a band at a cocktail party for german movie. Saxophone, double bass - I had a nice old f-hole semi acoustic guitar.
They didn't want any sound at all, just the grooving - so that was kinda embarrassing.
at least we got paid decent money.
I saw the movie at a theatre, but it was really boring. can't even remember the name^^.

On another occasion, Gene Hackman shooting outside and then walked in where I worked - shook hands and had a look around.
that was for a cool spy movie, lots of action and blowing up buildings.

finally found the name and trailor: Company Business, 1991.

I went to the filming of "Make It Funky,"
a documentary of New Orleans music that also
featured Keith, Bonnie Raitt and others.

I think you can barely see me in the audience when
the brass band is marching down the aisle toward
the stage.

Professionally as a museum labor man lots of times.

For many years, I worked as a film extra - a brief blur in the background is more like it. I really enjoyed working in that environment and was lucky to be in a few big films,and observe the real professionals at work.
My first gig was in the movie Grease. I was in the high school dance contest segment and the ending carnival scene.
As I said, I was only ever a brief blur, so you probably wouldn't find me.
But I'm in there.

Many of might remember me from "Gimmie Shelter" - I'm the fat naked guy.

Me too, my friends tell me I'm all over the concert footage of the first BLUES BROTHER movie (concert stuff was shot at the HOLLYWOOD PALLADIUM, not Chicago) Worked for a week, was in the second row wearing a faded yellow Hawaiian shirt. John Landis (TWILIGHT ZONE film helicopter accident/decapitation/murder of Vic Marrow and 2 kids) was the Director and the biggest prick on earth - HORRIBLE HUMAN BEING. Belushi was cool, in between takes he'd come out on the catwalk and we'd go over and bullshit with him. What a down to earth guy, what a comic genius. Was also in the MOTOWN anniversary special (TV SPECIAL) with Richard Pryor as the host and Michael Jackson's first moonwalk in public to BILLIE JEAN. Every big Motown act performed. Taping went on for 5 hours, show was 2 hours. Sadly AFAIK, never came out on DVD, shame cause it was great..... My autograph is only $10, contact me and send a money order...... (Just an effing JOKE, it's really only $9.95....)

i appear in a few documentaries that have run on discovery channel, CBC and the history network, no speaking parts, just an actor in costume walking around.

I was a dead body in a wheelbarrow for Buffy The Vampire Slayer (movie) but the scene wasn't used.

You can see me standing in line for Megadeth at the Cathouse 5/7/91 on Headbanger's Ball.

I stagedived a bunch of times in the filming of the Hole "Miss World" video but I don't think I can see myself.

The big one though is DEVO LIVE filmed at Irvine Meadows 8/4/96. During Jocko Homo, Mark was in the crowd and he says into the mic "Are We Not Men?" and sticks in my face and I yell "WE ARE DEVO." You can see and hear me quite prominently.

I was on the local news recently. They still haven't caught me. Actually, it was a traffic accident, and I got interviewed.

Before that, I was shown on a couple of news broadcasts with my band -- that was many years ago.

I also have a pro-shot video of my band at a Charleston Sternwheel Regatta concert. That was in 1991.

My best was on Letterman as a member of the audience. The question was who had had the Worst Job Ever. I had a telemarketing job trying to sell burial plots! Anyway, I won a .... BUG BUSTER! It was such a thrill. This was back in '86.

I was seen in the background in a state of shock when the camera cut to the NYC bar about 30 seconds after the Red Sox won the World Series in 2004.

I was also interviewed for some German TV station at the 2002 Blimp Press Conference in Van Cortland Park. I was the tall guy with long curly hair, wearing a black Stones football jersey. If anybody saw me, please let me know.

I was in "Cocktail" with Tom Cruise.

At one point (while he's mixing drinks, juggling bottles, etc.), the 1987 Georgia-LSU football game is on TV behind him. I was at that game - I'm wearing red!

I was extra in the Billy Crystal film 61. It was fimed at the old Tiger Stadium in Detroit. It was about the batting title race between Mantle and Maris and it was shown on HBO. I was in a few crowd shots in the stands. Also can be seen in the crowd for the Rolling Stones Super Bowl show.

My wife and I were on stage and on camera for the second half of John Mellencamp's VH1 Storytellers filmed in Chicago. VH1 shows it pretty often. (The two in those seats the first half of the show do a popular Chicago morning radio show and had to leave early because they wake up at 3 a.m.)
