I love Stones and Zep............and I don't give a shit about young people. They are just as stupid as my parents. My God, even my 3 year old daugther agree. So there is a future for r&r

Re: OT: Robert Plant on tour with Allison Krauss

Seeing Plant w/o Zep would be about as exciting as seeing Jagger w/o Keef, Ronnie & Charlie...
For me it wouldn't be, unless it was in a local club near my house for $50 or less than I'd go. A high priced ticket in a stadium or arena? Naaahhhh....

No surprise. Most football stadiums arent available in May anyway. I'm sure any LZ tour will be later than this.

got mine. i dont see this as an either/or with Zepp. the plant/krauss albums stands up on its own right, cant say that about many solo stone affairs. one of my albums of the year.

"This" happens to be a both artistic and commercial success, and besides, you can´t blame the man for touring with a nice lady instead of a bunch of grumpy old men.

The money they would be making should make them considerably less grumpy.

No, I'm thinking in terms of what would make the most people the happiest, and it sure ain't seeing Plant crooning with some country chick while Page rests up for something that may now never happen. These things require a strike while the iron is hot. If Plant gets too distracted with this other nonsense and allows too much time to pass, the moment may be lost forever.

Thumbs up for Plant. Touring behind a great album/project instead of now choosing for the fast bucks.

I'm just glad that this great album didn't get lost in the albeit understandable palaver surrounding the Led Zeppelin gig, hats off to Plant for sticking with it. yes strike while the iron is hot indeed, the plant/krauss iron will only be hot for a small time span, the led zeppelin iron will be as hot as a burning air balloon for many a year.

Many a year? Page is sixty-four for chrissakes! It's now or never.

How does Plant go from singing "In My Time Of Dying"to "Gone,Gone,Gone". I mean he mad a criticaly acclaimed record with Allison Kraus. But what does he have to prove by touring with her. It's not just that he can make a lot of money with a Zep tour. But creatively, they can try different things they never did before. As in never before or rarely played songs.

"It's just some friends of mine and they're busting down the door"

Zeppelin was a one off. This has been in the works forever. Wouldn't be surprised if a tour was all part of the deal before the album was recorded.

And he has also had plenty of time to do his own thing too. Pity he hasn't done much the best few decades.
