where?
when it didn't sell at that Christie's auction i reckoned the reserve hadn't been met,
but he was saying on iorr that he wanted something like $200,000, wasn't he?

it would be interesting (mildly) to know how high the bidding went on it at the auction -
maybe he turned down $12,000 and is now regretting it

Hmmm who knows... Looking at his ad at Christie's it striked me again how hopeless it seemed; 70 minutes taken from several MSG 72 concerts; probably just about zero complete songs. I'd love to see it of course - but you'd have to be quite insane to pay a fortune for it.

The tape I'd like to have is Mick's birthday party from the 1792 tour. He was such a cutie then.

found it: [cgi.ebay.com]

hm, the ebay auction is just for one of the reels, isn't it -
the Christie's auction was for all three: [www.christies.com]

so if Christie's estimated the value of all three at $10,000 - $15,000,
what happened in the meantime to make one reel worth $12,000? it's a mystery :E

The guy's on crack. Ebay is really Epimp, allowing anybody to sell this grotty piece of shite.

bizarre: this isn't the same MSG 72 footage that was auctioned at Christie's -
see the Question & Answer section of the ebay auction.
so there's MSG 72 footage suddenly coming to light all over the place, how odd!
i wonder if Nostradamus predicted this :E

Hey that's just....very wierd, with Sssoul
2 movies from the same concert surfacing in 2007...after all these years?
Surely, one would think that the guy who taped this events would make at least ONE copy, to a friend - or for a trade ? Maybe that friend now just want to cash in before the tape at christie's reach the bootleg market....if it ever does, that is.....?

are you sure it was this jerk, and not some other jerk?
i thought the Christie's auction was the guy who was looking here for a buyer -
but maybe that was yet a third piece of MSG 72 footage emerging after all these years!
it's a bleedin epidemic - a downright outburst! i bet it is in Nostradamus somewhere :E

Maybe it's 3 friends who want to get their share ? Or if they're in family, it was probably the big brother who visited IORR

cool, so where's the other thread, Erik?
meanwhile this shroomy sounds more like the Christie's material than the ebay material -
unless of course this ebay auction really is just 1/3rd of the Christie's stuff

Ah yes, the 1792 tour ... I believe they played Wild Colonial Boy every night on that one.
