Them poor bidders can't know what they're bidding on. All that stuff comes in better quality elsewhere. I doubt I'll even call it a "collector's item".

i bought them back in the early 90's in germany when boots came out on cd. i think this cds were one of the first releases back then. anyway, i've never thought that they'll reach that price.
there were lots of them. those swinging pig releases were "officially" sold for a short time, so i grabbed most of them because i haven't had the chance to get them elsewhere at that time. nowadays you can buy them on ebay -
Oh yes me too, bought lots of them in France and Italy in the early 90s. Wasn't illegal or anything. Come to think of it, these Ultra Rare Trax are nearly 20 years old - they can't be playable that much longer.
i haven't heard this rare trax cds for years, because of the better ones who followed. the only one i'm often hearing is atlantic city 89, still one of the best.
I also think ebay is a bit of a scam. I think the posters bid on their own stuff to jack up the price. I know that has happened a few times with some Bowie items I recently bid on. A classic strategy is to put the item on block for a long period of time, like four or five days...and you see very little action on it. But then suddenly your bid is out bid. I think the posters open their own bidding acounts and bid on their own material to try to get a higher price.
i think the ones who were sold are the original TGP-releases and maybe really hard to find today. there are some others on ebay now, who i think were released later on unknown labels or they are a cheap copy.
