Young people wearing Stones' t-shirts

I have not noticed so many young people wearing Stones' clothes before. Even 2- 3 months after the tour.

I see them quite often where I live.

I think it is becoming something of a fad.
They see someone like Paris Hilton wearing a
Stones shirt and they go out and get one.

Wow! Perhaps I could impress a young hottie
just by wearing one of my old Stones shirts!

It's a fad fer sure. You've been able to get the'72 Tour shirt (that never was) at TARGET for over a year.

Young people, old people, middle-aged people... Those iorr t-shirts never really seemed to become the fashion icon that someone might have naively imagined it would...

I had fun making it and it came out pretty well, if I do so say so. But fashion's not really my forte. I really wish I'd seen those shirts on y'all this past summer in Europe though... Not to mention wishing I'd seen a certain rock r roll band.

In my experience, not only do they not go to Stones' concerts, but they're either barely or not even fans of their music

Its a purely a fashion thing. Beleive me, as Gazza stated, they are not all Stones fans. It's a bit like when Levi Straus started selling MC5 t-shirts a few years back.

Some kinda fashion .....

I think a lot of people wearing them have no idea about the music.

Yeah there are a lot of younger Singaporeans wearing retro-like stones shirts, and I am sure a majority of them don't listen to the stones at all...it is more a hip fashion statement here.

Most of the young people that I see wearing Stones t-shirts in my hometown couldn't name 5 songs by the band......probably not even three.

I am a middle school teacher and I have a handful of students (13 yr olds) who wear Stones stuff, t-shirts and sweatshirts (hoodies), etc. I think it's great! But TD07 is right, they generally don't know the Stones from the Monkees.

The Stones logo has been a symbol fo four generations..
I bought a lot of stones t-shirts and baby clouds for my grandchilds before they was born many times during ABB tour.

Yeah I love to see the young kids sporting the Stones apparel but it's a bummer when they can't name one single Stones album. I guess the tongue is just hip.
