So the Stones released Flowers in the U.S., but held off on releasing Dandelion for a little while.

What a missed opportunity! Flowers coulda been a concept album for minimalists, with Dandelion leading the way.

It's not to late to rethink Flowers as a concept album, by collecting some tracks that have been released over the past 40 years and rewriting other songs to fit the garden theme.

Side 1
Dandelion
Just Wanna See His Vase
Sympathy for the Daffodil
Too Much Mud
Worried About Dew
Let Me Grow
Down in the Hoe
Mulched Emotions

Side 2
Dead Flowers
Sod, Sod, Sod
Jeez, a Rainbow
I Grow Wild
Might As Well Get Spruced
Dew Dew Dew Dew Dew (Droughtbreaker)
Had It with Dew
Oh No, Not Dew Again

LoFL: i just woke up from a dream in which Ride On Baby was the theme song to a TV sitcom -
do we have any screenwriters in the house? it was a brilliant idea for at least half a season's worth! :E

I actually like 'Mi girl' though it's not one of their classic tracks. Generally I like Jagger's 'innocent' singing style of the early 1960s.

When I listened to 'Dandelion' some time ago when they were still on tour I thought what a great opener a reworked version would be instead of the rather unimaginative openings they did. I mean, 'Start me up' or 'JJF' are great songs but it seems boring still to open a concert with those classics. The 1981/1981 tour where they opened with the rather obscure 'Under my thumb' was great in that respect.

Just imagine 'Dandelion' as an opeing number, followed by 'Jumpin' jack flash'. Could be a classic moment, couldn't it?
