No Ringo did not play drums on Instant Karma! That would be Alan White. Billy Preston Grand Piano, Klaus Voreman on Bass, Harrison on Guitar, and Yoko on backing vocals....produced by Phil Specter

You are thinking of the "John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band" album.

Ringo played drums on that.

Yes, great disc, John, Ringo and Klaus. Billy Preston plays on God...Lennon's best and most honest album IMO.

All Things Must Pass was recorded by The Beatles....can't believe that one ended up on the cutting room floor. Same with Isn't it a Pity and Hear Me Lord.

Why Don't We Do It In The Road...isn't it all Paul?
Vocals, bass, guitar, and drums?

YES! Good one too...John has said in interviews that was one thing that started to bum him out about Paul, and specifically that he didn't ask him to work on WDWDITR.

and real cool singing together too; Paul's harmonies most excellent.

Billy Preston doing Isn't it a Pity at the Harrison tribute concert is great.imo.....Love that song......John's best solo songs had to be,Instant Karma,Watching The Wheels.....Jealous Guy.....Among many others.

Watching The Wheels is definitely one of Lennon's best solo efforts., absolute classic in my mind.

People asking questions lost in confusion
Well I tell them there's no problem, only solutions

Well they shake their heads and they look at me as if I've lost my mind,
I tell them there's no hurry, I'm just sitting here doing time

I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round,
I really love to watch them roll.............

Right on! That was one of the true magic things about the two of them, their singing together...pure magic.

And yeah, All Things Must Pass, what an incredible work the entire three discs...it is very moving when Paul sings All Things Must Pass on the Tribute To George.
I would have loved to hear a full Beatles version of Isn't It A Pity and Hear Me Lord!

My Sweet Lord...

As great as is it is, could it have been better with John & Paul involved?

No.

But I think All Things Must Pass would have been a better album if George and Phil had cut it down to one disc.
