The colour of Brian's outfit is so close to the colour of the drums and guitar
that at first glance it seemed like he was wearing some sort of goofy Space Munchkin costume

Its a fantastic picture. Very different. To me it looks posed. It doesn't seem that either Keith or Brian are plugged in. So I'm not sure they are playing anything. Mick doesn't seem to have microphone lead either.

I recommend checking out some early rock & rollers, R&B and soul acts - they got the moves!
And onlystones: Right, they were not playing. As noted in my post listing their 1965 TYLS appearances these were "playback" performances.
