Some clips of Mick & Keith travelling to Morocco in '89 to record The Master Musicians of Jojouka are to be found on youtube. Here's part one of five:

Best thing about Steel Wheels! Great song! Too bad that adventure didn't spill over to the rest of the production and writing.

and the 'snippet' used to open the steel wheels concerts was imho the very best intro ever used by the stones - even better than fanfare for the common man..(used in the late 70s)
This was when SMU was 'loved' as well...

LOL...Since you asked - one of the greatest songs of their entire career IMO

I always thought the mix was a bit mushy, considering how hard 'Brian Jones Presents The Pipes Of Pan At Joujouka" (to name the most obvious) rocks, but it is a cool cut and one of the best on SW.

The best thing off Steel Wheels by far, and Gazza is correct. One of their bestg songs ever.

I still think that opening was the best ever.... the thumping sound of continental drift getting louder and louder and then the massive explosion... fantastic..

Great song indeed and it's from Steel Wheels which I really like. Yes I do.

This song is so un-Stones like, to rate it as one of their best is absurdity. Afar cry from JJF or BS.

and that makes it bad? The Stones are a lot more than just a bunch of 3-chord wonders.

they've made countless songs that step outside that 'traditional' sound. Many of them great

to rate it as one

yes it is - and so what?

I don't like it. Steel wheels is the worst album. The only album that is really bad. (except Sleepin' Away of course!)

That's why I like the Stones. They have a wide variety of songs so I can never get bored of them.

Mixed Emotions, Terrifying, Rock and a hard place, Almost hear you sigh, Continental Drift. How can this be the worst album with these excellent songs on it?

Great song. But I don't feel it's something "new" as in the Stones have never done something like that before -- it's always reminded me of the "style" of Satanic Majestic.
