OT: WHITE STRIPES cancel rest of 2007 tour/ all UK shows

UPDATED; The rest of the White Stripes tour for 2007 has been canceled due to a somewhat unusual condition. "Meg White is suffering from acute anxiety and is unable to travel at this time.... They thank you for your understanding and well wishes". Spokeswoman Chloe Walsh had no further comment - please see their website for ticket refund information. Sad news about a great band, let's hope Meg feels better soon.....

Thanks for the link Koen but it's not exactly the same. The cancelations have been EXPANDED since that post. That one, from the BBC, only talks about the US leg of the tour. The latest, which was just released today, is that the entire remaining shows for this current tour have all been canceled including all UK shows (Maybe continental Europe also, have not seen the complete tour schedule)

Ummm, excuse me boys but do you have a problemo with reading or something like that? That link you are giving over and over (Adrian and earlier, Koen) has the HEADLINE - "WHITE STRIPES SHELVE US CONCERTS" - that's US as in UNITED STATES, not UK as in UNITED KINGDOM. Says NOTHING about UK cancelations considering the UK shows were still on. Since the link BBC article is dated 12th of September (today is the 19th of September - that would be a week LATER than the 12th - 12 + 7 = 19...One week is 7 days, right?)

my post (dated 13th sept), clearly states that the Uk tour is called off.

Dude, you didn't say to SCROLL..... you just gave me the link to Paulywaul's post - but I'll forgive you .... the reason the NME is first with the news is the time difference - 8 hours ahead of us Calfornia surfers - FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMOUNT HIGH and all that ......
