As Beast says, t'was I. You should've come over and said hi. Yep, I remember James fluffing a line. That's no biggy, nerves would account for that. But I just thought that his acting was kind of a little bland, a little expressionless, but he probably wasn't helped by the nature of the characters he was playing in each of the productions ... they were in their own ways decidedly uncharismatic. It'll be interesting to see how he develops as an actor. When he pulls certain facial expressions, it's amazing to see the likeness between him & his dad. Definitely a chip off the old block.

Shane Ritchie's performances, I must say though, really quite blew me away. Really powerful acting, full of energy. Most impressive.

I thoroughly enjoyed both plays and thought JJ did a remarkably good job for his acting debut. He certainly has the potential to go on to bigger and better things if he so chooses. It was a very amusing evening and the squeals of laughter from Keith's girls indicated they were enjoying it too!

The bit I posted came from a news article and brief interview with Mick's son talking about making his acting debut on his birthday and that his Dad would be at the performance on Friday of the same week. Since the article was published in a newspaper and available online, I didn't think I was violating Mick or his family's privacy.

Jagger's Rolling in the aisles

September 07, 2007

MICK JAGGER rocked up to a tiny pub theatre to see his son’s acting debut and declared: “I’m very, very proud of him”.

The ROLLING STONES frontman laughed out loud as he watched actor JAMES in Lone Star and Private Wars, two anti-Vietnam mini-comedies.

James has won rave reviews so it seems there there could soon be another famous Jagger.

He is earning just £300 a week performing at the King’s Head Theatre, Islington, North London, where tickets cost £15.

A pal revealed: “James is brainy and Mick really wanted him to go to university. But he said no because for years his heart has been set on an acting career.”

Mick was at the theatre with leggy girlfriend L’WREN SCOTT — and a bodyguard.

He watched his son’s every move during the hard-hitting, often touching show then chatted with him backstage after the performance, left.

James acted in silk pyjamas and a stripey dressing gown and had to perfect a Texan drawl to play a hillbilly.

Perhaps he had speech coaching from his mum, Texan-born model JERRY HALL.

James admitted afterwards that he was nervous acting in front of Mick. He said: “Dads are always very critical.”
