Came back from London this morning. First time in my 43 Stones years that I attend a last tour show. Was only at 26 th Gig.

My impressions without having read none of the above.

The greatest show I have attended ? Certainly not. Could it be, no. But, a moment of magic for just being there. I have seen The Stones, I did not hear them. I was at C3. Sound was really, really poor from there. Could not hear anything from Keith, except the introduction notes and some fulgurant things on JJF. Thus I cannot comment on the show. Mick was astonishing. The stage seems to be somewhere narrow for him. Charlie was as always : a reliable companion, a tempo master : his work on CYHMK was top ( and for the first time I heard him made a solo). Ron was brilliant. But the whole thing was not The Stones Sound, i.e. too much piano, a sort of orchestral band and no more a guitar band. But this stems probably from a very low Keith guitar sound from where I was.

The audience. Overspoiled and " blasée".

Still The Greatest : Yes, in my heart. And thanks to them for this enthiuastic 2 years. Next wish : see and hear them at Wembley Stadium in front of a real audience.

Just got home. Didn't read the 11 pages. Just wanted to let you all know that my Dear lady Anne and I had a great time. As well at the show as at meeting several great Stonesfriends. Good to see you Rockman and Eric Snow and Toronto Girl

Seems that meeting people is the best thing at a rolling stones concert nowadays. Or it was maybe.
Except for the three songs at the B-stage and Ronnie laughing because of my t-shirt, I never was so bored at a stones show before as I was yesterday.

Show was very good, but definitely the least impressive of the three.

They played really well all week - the first night was the best gig I've seen all tour.

However, especially considering the fact that Mick acknowledged the presence of fans who had gone to see so many shows during the tour and was obviously aware that a tour finale would attract many 'hardcore' fans, their decision to play such a 'standard' setlist was a bit underwhelming. First time I've ever heard 'She was hot' at a show I was at, but even that's not exactly a jawdropper.

Didnt take the shine off what was an incredible week, however. Met lots of fantastic people (old faces and new faces) at the shows, at the Pilot and last night in the Rattlesnake. It was nice when people I didnt know came up and said hello, and in a few cases even bestowed gifts on me....LOL

The best band of all time also has the best fans...I've made some great friendships this tour that will last a lifetime. Thats the memory I'll take from it more than anything.

The sound quality is bad, the guitars are out of tune and Micks singing leaves a lot to be desired. Have heard them much better during this tour. I'm not knocking them, just don't think this clip is all that great :-)

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck. Believe me, I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with being a duck. We're all entitled to our own quacks. I enjoy seeing everyone's differing opinions.

Gazza is right - it was a good show but not a stupendous show.

'She was hot' and 'Ain't to proud to beg' are ok but no substitute for say, 'Gimmie Shelter' or maybe even 'Streets of Love'.

Can't think that this is the 'end' - John Prescott has just given up at age 69, surely The Stones can out live this clown.........

To each his own & great to hear various opinions.
Me, I thought SWH was decent, yet surely not the
hottest rendition sofar.
But the SOUND is great. The clip is great.
My 50c.
