I did not remember these version with Timberlake. It is a proshot.
Look at Keith very angry because someone sent to Mick and Timberlake some trashes. What happened ? it is unusual today to see this during a Stones concert. Some fans mad at Timberlake ?

People just disliked JT so much that they began throwing bottles on stage. Keith started pointing and shouting...not to defend JT so much but more him and his bandmates!

It's from the Toronto SARS Benefit DVD. This may be the single lowest point in Stones concert history. I am sure that many people thought life would end when Keith give Justin that high-five. But, we survived . . . . one day at a time, we survived . . . . . .

Yes, but every Stones fan should watch it once. It helps to put things in perspective -- when Ronnie has an off night, or Keith blows his intros, or when all they play is warhorses, hell, even when they cancel the show because of Mick's throat problems --- remember: things could be worse.

You can see how different Keith is today compared to that footage...in the video he's walking briskly across the stage, bending down and walking across the stage while playing a solo....he moves a bit more sluggishly these days.

Never seen this, I must admit I really like Timberlake's last album, but this gig is utter crap. He deserved the bottles thrown at him.

No one should ever be treated like that, no matter how they perform. Keith is doing the only right thing, and that is to demonstrated loud and clearly that he doesn't tolerate it, and then supports JT with a high five. Like a real gentleman. Hell, JT looks like a schoolboy up there with Mick, but who wouldn't?

This was before the accident so whatever happened with his noggin might be why he has the moves he has now.

I was at that show and you should have seen the bottles flying when JT came out the first time doing his own set, it was actually funny as hell, watching musicians pensive faces as the water bottles kept coming like missles. I mean they were plastic and all but he didn't really fit in to the mix, AC/DC, Guess Who, etc. At the end of the day I felt a bit bad for him though and Keith did say on the DVD of the show that it was his bandmates that he was really concerned about, Justin was on his own in that respect.

How I agree!
Keith takes it very personal when anybody tries to intrude his turf.
you've seen it before in Altamont or Hampton.
even though JT is a stupid puppy - if you're on stage with the Stones man.....

those guys who tossed (whatever it was) got told off by Keith personally and I guess they love Keef, but I do assume they felt ashamed after it.

Kate Moss gets protecting Stones wings, hopefully Amy Whinehouse will...
It's good to have the Stones as an anchor and shelter.

Man I hate this guy but I think that Keith was right.That's why he is so cool.He could stay back and defend himself not from the bottles but from the whole J.T thing that was too weird.That's why I love Keith and he is dead right even to people that I don't think he likes that much.

That's sad, I think. Keith did the right thing in my opinion.

Agree wholeheartedly MuddyW. I'm not much of a Timberlake fan but this was a charity gig and he should have had a bit more respect shown even by people who didn't like him. Keith was spot on to defend him.

Incidentally, my 19 year old daughter tells me there's a bit more to JT's music than you might initially think!

not to mention that the stones were blown off the stage by ACDC and RUSH, never saw that happen before but it did that day

second: it's the first time i see this and i think is a very good version of my with bobby solo and all. i take this over any duet with dave matthews or sheryl crow who are supposedly more "talented" just because they do the "stones" genre. Incidentally i think timberlake is a talent in what he does though i dont listen to his music. i think stones fans that threw things to him show how much narrow the mind of a "rocker" can be.

.....the JT last album was very good. On top of that he has the performance chops to boot. Poor behaviour by some of those in attendance in Toronto....Bravo to KR for yelling at those louts....they should have been arrested.

Justin Timberlake's got as much right to a stage as The Stones have. He's a talented dancer and vocalist. Christ, you don't have to be a shriveled ex(?) junkie to have rock and roll soul, you know...

Justin Timberlake made a nice dancing partner for Mick on "Miss You", but he seemed to be in a different league. There were thrown empty bottles on stage when Mick and Justin were up front dueting, and as they danced on further back to the stage, Keith did some stage police work. He walked up front, you could see the anger in his eyes, he did some pointing and waving with his hands, and he made this "you are braindead" pointing to his head, and there were no more bottles coming on stage.

It was 450,000 people in the crowd. I am on Keith side, as you can see...

Give me a break -- I am not saying the Justin is not talented -- he clearly is. And I agree that people should never have thrown stuff. But this is just bad . . . . the "Cry Me a River" breakdown? Justin making the silly gestures on the "people think I'm crazy" line?

I had forgotten about Sheryl Crow -- she and Mick just ruin HTW on the Four Flicks set (also isn't that the version where Chuck plays his solo and then wiggles his tongue at the camera?) That's pretty bad, too.
