Here's an approach that hasn't been tried by the Stones since the opening of Side 2 on Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out! in 1970, when that woman yelled "Paint it black, you devils!":
Spotlight the audience in a live recording, not the band!
Let's say that someone with a mic followed the couple featured on the cover of No Security into the arena or stadium and recorded their conversation and singing along with the songs. That might be damn entertaining.
I recently sat next to people talking their way through a performance of Willie Nelson, and then a few weeks later the same thing happened at a Bob Dylan show. I was too timid to say "Hey, why don't you shut the @#$%& up?" so I just sat there and stewed and keefed.
After 41 years of traditional live recordings, many with overdubs and some with awkward edits, the Stones could blaze new ground with this kind of a live album, and not eat into potential DVD sales of Shine a Light.
