Europe isn't getting spanked. Europe is getting banged. And it's the biggest bang Europe has ever seen.

The original poster has a point.

The 'virgin territory' argument falls down because they aren't playing songs from the new album there either.

Where is "Sway" for these shows? "She Was Hot"?

But more so, where are the NEW songs -- nuggets added to the setlist along the way. Have there been any?

I agree, I think London will get the goodies this time.

The only places with stale setlists (not neccessarily stale for first timers) are the places they haven't been to or been to recently. Go back and look at all the setlists for places they have visited recently and you will see the lesser known songs being played.

And what new album are you talking about? This is the summer of 2007! ABB came out nearly two years ago. Was Black And Blue a new album by the time Some Girls came out?

"Lyin' awake in a cold, cold sweat. Am I overdrawn, am I going in debt?
It gets worse, the older that you get. No escape from the state of confusion I'm in.

Can't You Hear Me Knockin for instance was totally new on ABB tour.
As well as Keef's Wanna Hold You or It's All Over Now. Cover song changed for I'll Go Crazy. There were rarities played here and there like Respectable, No Expectations, Love In Vain, Little T & A, Love Is Strong, Sway, Heartbreaker.
I'd say that Ain't Too Proud To Beg, She's So Cold, Rocks Off, Monkey Man or even Ruby Tuesday are not live warhorses, are not played in every show...

Indeed.

I was happy to get All Down The Line, She Was Hot, Sweet Virginia, Can't You Hear Me Knocking, I'll Go Crazy and Happy for my very first time in Nijmegen. And that was my 7th concert of the Stones.

Here's my setlist resolution. If they play one "special" song in Copenhagen I'll eat my hat (neocon referance). Last year it was "sway". I screamed like a little girl. I don't mind saying it. After all, I'm drunk again.

I forgot to add that I'm also listening to IORR on vinyl for the first time in 25 years. Just rebounding from the CD age. It's re-juvinating (spelling?)

Didn't Europe get all those great shows in 1962-1963? The good old US hasn't caught up since. Come back, fall 2007, guys! winking smiley
