She will invest that money for suffragette city until there's none left in John's asset.

Though I would re actitvate this thread,I just found it while looking for one of my own old threads.
Has there been any more info on this project.
I love the Red Devils King King album ,and I have the Boot that Mick recorded with them, mine has a lot of tape hiss on it.
If nothing official coming our way ,is there a good quality (no tape hiss ) boot or download around.
While looking through archives ,this shows that not all things need to be 30 or 40 years old,a few gems only 15-20 years old

There's one track on THE VERY BEST OF MICK JAGGER (2007). That's the only official release. There was talk of an official release, but disappointing sales of the solo anthology put an end to that apparently.

Shame, still you never know he might see an opportunity sometime in the near future now he seems to realise that there are things he did in the past that are worth releasing.

they got some facts wrong here - the Red Devils DID release an album called King King, and it was named after the LA club where the live album was recorded. makes me think the whole story may be bogus. not a big fan of the work MJ did with these guys anyway, frankly....

Sometimes you're as much of a downer as Keith or Rick.

I don't mind it, but I never thought of it as being on par with the Stones' Chess sessions from June 1964. Most fans of it thought it was that or better. One of the erudite regulars on IORR felt Bartel's guitar work put Keith to shame. To my ears, it was just run of the mill blues covers (both the band and Mick's vocals). Still, it would be boring if we all agreed on everything.

Mick's hits album would've sold better if Let's Work wasn't on it.

I remember when Rolling Stone reported on him watching these guys with Bruce Willis in LA. I was expecting magic but when I heard the boots, it was pretty shoddy. Mick said that most of it wasn't very good and from what I heard, he was right.

To be fair, the official release of "Checkin' Up On My Baby" sounds a lot better than even the MickBoy remaster did. An official release of the blues sessions would at least offer that much. Maybe MickJagger.com will end up doing download-only releases in the future.
