I really wonder what was going on?

Somehow i have a feeling that somebody wants to fool us

What happend:

Paul en Dominique are invited into the pressroom. Press is sitting down at several round tables. The Stones are supposed to sit down at one of the tables and answer some questions. Paul en Dominique enter last and sit down, dressed in stones outfit, no papers, no pen. Suddenly a lady enters and says there are to many people and there will be 2 sessions. 15 people have te wait in the bar next door for the next session. Before session 2 there is another securitycheck. Paul en Dominique don't have a namebadge, so they are not allowed back into the pressroom.


Question: Why a pressconference ?

Agree fully, this was one extremely embarrassing press conference. If ever you were to witness an ill conceived and totally rushed press con, in which the one and only participant of note looked as if he'd rather be ANYWHERE but there ... that was it. They should be TOTALLY ashamed of themselves.

I just can't understand whats going on-

On the pics they're acting like there was an audience in front of them, but u said there wasn't anyone.
And so, why did they reherse just three songs, after the press conference?

I don't understand, why no, absolutely no information about what they told the press, is written anywhere!
I mean, they must have said something and I guess we have more than enough spooks here in out board in order to have at least some infos five hours later.

Well, whatever it is that they did, in front of whom, where, when and why ... there's no denying that judging by the pics at least - they look bloody magnificent !! They look ON FORM !! Boy o boy o boy ... can't WAIT for Isle of Wight Sunday 10th June !!

It almost looks like this was done as a "promo video" with no press invited at all. In other words, a presentation directed towards us, the fans.

But Lorenz, where's the press? No reporter in sight in those photos. No wide-angle shots, no hint of pointing at an interviewer, nothing.

No, you are right - but there had to be press there, because we got some photos of it
It's all weird, dunno why there is no press release!

The band can certainly hire their own photographers, so I think my "promo vid" idea could be correct. Besides, it saves them from responding to the same old inane questions. They make the tour announcement, say a few words, play a few songs.
