Frankfurt has a new seating chart

Have a look at "Saalplanbuchung" [www.eventim.de]

The stage will be built at the long side, not where normally the goal stands during footbal-games!

Ticketsales were disastrous....

There is also a 5th price level, €61.
Standing room in the lower tier of the West tribune, and seats in the upper tier.

It looks strange. The new tics are called Je nach Verfügbarkeit Sitz- oder Stehplatz. Does it mean that half of the floor will be seated and the rest will be standing? It looks like that in the chart s the seats don't cover the whole floor.

Well, the lower tier is cut down from ca. 28 blocks to 22,
a few thousand less seats to sell to make it a sell-out.

I´m interested where they will put all those ticketholders who
have tickets behind the stage now...

Those are the great and rare "behindstage seats"! Even better than
"onstage". smiling smiley

Don´t worry, they will give you a similar one...hopefully.

No, as ericjjf mentioned, this means you'll get either standing tix for the Westtribüne or seating tix for the upper Osttribüne! The floor will still be only seated!

Yeah, made me think too. Maybe they fill up the infield seats with people from the grandstands that lost their seats and cannot be relocated to other grandstand seats first and then with people that bought tix for the new category. It's kind of complicated the relocate the people. Just imagine a group of friends that bought for example 8 tix in one row. They won't be delighted if they have to split. Just like latvianinexile said, it will be total chaos.

Well in Saalplanbuchung those standing tix are in infield, not Westtribüne.

To make it easy for them they kept the floor the same, right?

40A, 40B, 42A, 42B is standing. A-sectors unchanged. D4 and D2 moved from side of B-stage to the front. So you have front row seats in D2 and D4 now.

Hm, I can't see that. In Saalplanbuchung it says "Westtribüne" and there are 4 blocks with standing tickets which means you'll be standing on a higher level than the people on the floor (Innenraum). In the Innenraum itself I can only see seats.

Ooops you are right, sorry! I messed up the yellow meaning "Blocks with only a few seats available" with the yellow meaning "standing".

Anyone ever been to a stadium show where the stage was built similarly?
Saw one (Springsteen 2003) and thought it isn´t the best for the atmosphere since you (and the performers) see so many empty seats because the outer wings are further away from the stage compared to the ususal stadium show setting and nobody will want to sit or stand there

set up along the long side, you mean? yeah: Milano last year - Vienna too, if memory serves.

Seems that they'll play in front of 20.000 visitors...well, why do they don't play two nights at a sold aout Festhalle? Better two times sold out, than one time half packed!

And?
Any difference you experienced compared to the normal setting with the stage in place of one the goals?

Has anyone an idea, about how many seats the capacity is reduced if they take this setting with stage on the long side?

I suppose something about 30% up to 35 % ....

About a third

>> Any difference you experienced compared to the normal setting with the stage in place of one the goals? <<

maybe it was one of the reasons the sound in Milano was pretty dismal?
just guessing, though, since it's the only concert i was ever at in that stadium.
also, the stage was a bit too high (and/or the "security space" in front of it too narrow),
so the view from the very front wasn't as great as it was at other shows i was at.
at Vienna everything was brilliant, though - since i can't even remember for sure whether that was the set-up
i'd say it didn't make a speck of difference.

Milano was the first show where they had that "sideways" set-up, so it wouldn't be strange
if that's where any readjustments it entailed would show the most.

Shame on those who can stay at home watching TV when the Stones are in town ...tzzz

@latvianinexile Yeah I think I owe you a beer ;-)

The funny thing now is that some of the new 61 Euro tix are placed just close to lots of the 190 Euro seats now...
