semi OT: Mile High Club; Stones and Mile High Club

Hello from Spain.

I did research this morning on Mile High Club, and I thought it could be interesting to join. However, the concept has sloped a little bit since 1916, and to play with your partner in the cosy darkness of a long haul flight might be consider as Mile High Club. Better to indulge in renting a plane for $299 with mattress, sheets and cheap champagne.

See [en.wikipedia.org]

Back to the Stones, it appears they are quoted as "act" by Oakland-based Mile High Club, a blues joint (never been there, but surely familiar to some of you). However, I am not sure what they mean by "act" - did they performed, or just visit?

See the story

High Club (aka Eli's Mile High), seventies blues joint, come independent music club is the most charming and unique private event venue in the East Bay. Located in the heart of Oakland, and once the home of the thriving West Coast Blues scene, The Mile High Club hosted such acts as James Brown, BB King, Etta James Whoopi Goldberg and the Rolling Stones.

Of course, some STP's footage are also Mile High Club-relevant, but more forthe roadies than for the Stones

Keith and Anita were supposedly banned from some airline in the 60s for mile-highing -
maybe that's the "act" they mean :E
