Any fans here?

sure - but do you mean the Stones' backing vocalist or the group?

found his recent solo album quite enjoyable,
but have always felt uncomfortable with his presence,
on stage with The Stones. Still they like him and want him there, so that's
all that really matters.

I am bigger fan of the band Blondie than Blondie Chaplin.
Waiting for clarification from the Big Al.

LOVE Blondie's album!! I still play it quite regularly, and take it with me everytime I travel to Long Island from upstate. I only wish his first album would be re-released!!

Yes to all - Chaplin, Debbie Harry's band, Dagwood's wife. Dagwood is definitely dating up, btw.

i assumed not, as there was no 'OT' in the thread title.

Assuming this is now another Blondie Chaplin thread, I must say I find the album "Between Us" quite enjoyable. "Love You Till I Die" and "Hurricane" should be the single releases for radio. And I like the way in which it was mastered: it's not as near as heavily compressed as "A Bigger Bang" for example (but with a title like that what else can you do to get the bang? ;-)

Still, I'd love to finally hear Blondie Chaplin's all-star lineup solo album "Fragile Thread". But so far, it's unreleased.

I do not obey BV's rules, lol, Joke!

This thread was just inwuire as to whether or not there were any fans of the group Blondie. I bough their best of last night and am absoloutley loving it. I didn't realise just quite how many of those songs I knew.

"Parallel Lines" was such a different animal than anything else they did before. Or any of the other NY bands. Blondie never got dissed by the harder NY punk bands about doing the whole disco thing. "Heart of Glass" was so f8cking irresistible.
My fave tunes by them are "Dreaming" and "Maria". But the whole "Lines album is a 10 for pop.

Oh my Lord! What a photo. In our Band cave in NYC, an absolute hellhole, there was only one poster that survived the nightlife and tempers. It was a huge pic of Debbie in a long Tshirt or a very short dress. Brothers genuflected to it..

I saw Mick taylor doing that Debbie harry trick in Denmark some years ago. He was lying down on the stage playing. Very unusual. Very Blondie. About the real Blondie ... Chaplin... Great guy. Nice to chat with always. Friendly. And a great musician. Important on stage with the Stones of course, one of the important 13 people on stage.

Like both Blondie Chaplin and the band Blondie. Chaplin's a really nice person. And he's a great musician. Don't try to deny it - just google him and see the bands he's worked with. That would never have happened if he didn't have a great talent AND great social skills. The Stones love him, especially Keith. And if you don't have the album "Between Us" - try to pick up a copy from the net or a good record store.

Been a fan for years! A friend bought their Hits cassette years ago and it never left his car stereo for about 2 years.
I was lucky enough to catch Debbie Harry on the "New York" tour with the Ramones and a fragmented Talking Heads.
